The Manager Says....

Firstly it's great to see League Two Newport County return to the new redeveloped Causeway . As you will probably notice it looks a little different . Having said that the first team squad & management will be well aware of this from using the fantastic facilities while preparing for their play off games & Wembley at the end of last season . The links between the two clubs are strong & I wish Flynnie & Hats every success for the season ( just not tonight !! ). Welcome to The Causeway for all those concerned with Newport County it's a privilege to host you & also know how highly you regard the new facilities .

Secondly I'm extremely proud to be back in The Causeway hot seat & looking forward to the season ahead in the newly formed Football Association of Wales Championship South . Tier 2 of the Welsh football pyramid . We now need to make sure the quality of football on offer is deserving of the second to none facilities that have been put in place . 

The management team we have put together has vast experience at this level & beyound including extensive English pyramid experience at the top end of the semi professional structure . I am sure Lee Relish, Andy Beattie & Ben Roberts will add real value to the journey we are on this season. Welcome to The Causeway All ( although Clivo needs no introductions )

Lastly but most importantly it's great to be working with so many familiar faces on the pitch . The bulk of this squad either made their Welsh league debuts under my first reign or I brought them back to the Causeway . We've added half a dozen or so new faces ( or not so new in some cases ) which will provide real depth to the squad . I'm extremely excited to be working with such a talented & dedicated group of players once again . 

One thing that I can assure all the Causeway faithfull of is that this squad will give all we have to be a success . That is a minimum that I demand of all my players . Having worn the shirt my players will be clear how much they have to give to also wear the shirt & the standards that are a given to keep the shirt .
