JD Cymru League South : Ammanford v Undy AFC ; 2 - 1 L

Scorer - Rhys Thomas

On a day where weather conditions were atrocious 11 Ultras made the journey west to the Recreation ground Ammanford. Ammanford facilities are now excellent and a crowd of over 200 swelled their new stand.

With the strong wind blowing across the pitch and the rain hammering down good football was always going to be at a premium.
Ammanford started the brighter of the two sides and created some good chances early on that could have resulted in goals. Undy came more into the game with Cullimore and Thomas were working well together causing the Ammanford defence problems. One well worked move of slick passing resulted in Thomas being put through and finishing well to put Undy 1 nil up.

Ammanford continued to press and their forward broke clear only to be brought down by what looked a perfectly good tackle just outside the box only for the referee to award what looked a dubious penalty which Ammanford scored from.
Half time 1-1

The terrible weather conditions continued into the second half and both sides struggled on a pitch that had become very heavy and cutting up.

In one attack from Ammanford, Clayton brought down the striker and the penalty awarded was thankfully missed.
Undy created chances in the opposition half and always looked dangerous from the set piece with some excellent balls from Smith.
Thomas continued to work hard and giving the opposition center half a tough time which led to an incident and the referee sending the centre half off.

Undy failed to take advantage of the extra man and not competing enough for the second ball through out the game. Both sides continued to create chances and Ammanford scored after Smith lost the ball bringing it out from defence. Undy had chances with Cullimore, Clayton going close but the second goal did not come. Undy lost Thomas through injury after a collision with the Ammanford keeper.

Conditions were now very poor and ended with a disappointing loss for Undy sending the travelling fans on a miserable journey home.
After the last two brilliant wins for Undy a draw would have been a fair result even with a below par performance.

Man of the match Aherne who was awesome in defence again alongside an excellent Clayton.

Next week we entertain Swansea University at the Causeway Stadium 2pm ko.
